The powders of the N100 series are single base powders mainly used in gun calibers. The Vihtavuori N165 is a worldwide powder for heavy bullet magnum rifles in the heavy bullet magnum caliber. It works well in Lapua Magnum with a capacity of 250 gr but can handle a wide range of sizes from 6,5 to 416 SE.

It works especially well in the Lapua Magnum. The N165 powder grains are exactly as big as the N160, but the surface coating differs in the burning features, as the powder grains are 1,3 mm (length x 1,0 mm).
